When to contact

Stress

Life in a foreign country can be stressful. On our support phone/chat, you can just talk to relieve stress.

Questions about life in Japan

You can ask questions about different aspects of life in Japan. For example, our callers have talked about topics such as children’s education, health care, marriage, divorce, job hunting, dating, neighbourhood relations, domestic violence, bullying, abuse, and cultural differences.

Loneliness

Life in a foreign country can sometimes be lonely, too. You are welcome to call us when you feel lonely and you just want to talk to someone. We are here for you. Or you can talk with us if you want to organize your thoughts. Talking to someone may help you get more clarity.

Help with the Japanese language

You can also talk with us if you have difficulties in reading or filling out documents in Japanese. We can help you.

Who are our volunteers?

Our volunteers are trained peer supporters. Our volunteers are foreign and Japanese women. We are not medical professionals but we can connect you with them if you want us to do so. We will listen to you, think together, and can help you find information.

Our support phone and chat is made possible by a grant from Akai Hane Central Community Chest of Japan.
